Gleneagles Secondary College

Gleneagles Secondary College

Gleneagles Secondary College lies in Endeavour Hills, which is on the lands owned by the Kulin nation. Even though the College and the community that it serves are younger than 40 years, the College’s existence is not new. Learning communities have thrived on this land since more than 30,000 year.

Gleneagles Secondary College was originally established in 1995 as part of Eumemmering Secondary College. In 2009, Gleneagles Secondary College became an independent legal entity. However it retains strong curricular ties through the Alliance with Fountain Gate Secondary College or Hallam Senior College. The College is a well-respected school with a reputation for caring and community-mindedness.

Today, the College is home to 1500 students (years 7 to 12) and a staff size of 155. Our community is multi-ethnic and culturally diverse. 50% of our students are from languages other than English, and 5% are refugees. Our students identify as Aboriginals or Torres Strait Islanders in approximately 1%. Colleges are proud of the diversity that brings about communities. Our educational programs reflect the varied experiences of our families.

Gleneagles Secondary College offers outstanding education and is committed to creating an inclusive, caring learning environment for all students.

Gleneagles Secondary College provides a comprehensive program that spans Years 7-12. This allows students to have an opportunity to experience all subjects in Year 7 and 8. Students then move into Middle and Senior School. There, they receive guidance and support and can make decisions about their individual paths.

We believe that each student deserves the best possible support. We provide a wide range of learning and extracurricular opportunities, as well as a number of learning and extension supports. We believe in creating an environment that encourages both student achievement and diversity.

Our learning environment is characterised in a strong focus literacy and numeracy that is foundational to all subject areas. There are brilliant teachers who are committed engaging and fostering learning growth, outstanding learning facilities and high expectations regarding upholding college R.I.S.E.
