Swimming is an essential part Australian life. Aquastar Swim Schools will provide you with the assurance that you and your family are able to learn the skills necessary to decrease the risks and establish a positive, long-lasting and respectful relationship with water. Water safety lessons are fun and safe. We are a trusted and established Learn to Swim program. To give students the attention that they require, we keep class sizes small. Our 14-level program, Infant to Squad, is designed to give all children the best chance of success. There are four levels of program: Infant, Beginner to Intermediate, Intermediate, Advanced, and Squad. What levels of the Learn to Swim Program at Berwick offer? Like all Aquastar Swim Schools in the area, our Berwick swim school offers nine levels of Learn to Swim, as well as Junior Squad and Squad levels. Each program is divided into three levels, each with Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced groups. While it is encouraged that you indicate the level of swimming your child is best suited for, we still conduct a comprehensive assessment on the first day to ensure all students are correctly placed. How long does it take for my child to move up the levels? All children enrolled in Berwick’s swimming lessons are continuously assessed by our instructors and assessment team. If they feel ready, they will be moved to the next level. It can happen at any time during the term. However, it is important that you remember that every child learns at a different rate and will move up to higher levels at their own pace. You can talk to the coordinator if you have questions or concerns about your child’s progress at Berwick swim school. How many hours does each Berwick swim lesson last? All classes at Berwick, including infant swimming lessons and kids swimming lessons at Berwick, last 30 minutes. Lessons increase to 45 minutes per child once they reach Junior Squad.
