The school is one of the Public Private Partnership Government School that was established within the Learning Communities Victoria Consortium. Students and families from the community are provided with an ‘State of the art school designed to support 21st Century learning with highest standards of educational design and infrastructure that reflect research and the requirements of those students who will be in the near future. The school is a contemporary eco-friendly and sustainable school with high expectations for the students, staff, and families.

The story that lies behind the name

 

Our school is called TULLIALLAN Elementary School. This name signifies the historical importance and beauty to both our City of Casey and the students and families who reside in the school’s neighborhood. Tulliallan is important in terms of history and an overall context since it is linked to the establishment of the area during the pastoral era of the 1850s and the 60s before the land was available for harvest. It demonstrates the growth of cattle runs in the south-east part of the Settled District of Port Philip. It is linked to local important people in the past which include people from the Rossiter family, the Strettle family members, James Gibb and Captain Mitchell. The historic listed Avenue of Elms as well as ‘Shearers Cottage’, are just 400m from our school’s site.
