Berwick Neighbourhood Centre

BNC staff, volunteers, and members are expected to cooperate with other people in order to create an environment that promotes a feeling of comfort and belonging, as well as dignity and respect.

The Department of Victorian Communities, Department of Human Service, and the City of Casey provide our primary funding. Fees and fundraising make up the rest of our operating expenses. We are proud to offer affordable, quality services in Berwick and the surrounding areas. Our fees structure is designed to maintain the Centre’s financial viability and keep costs low. Sometimes we are able to offer concessions for people who otherwise would not be able to attend our centre.

The Centre relies on fund-raising to continue its vital work. All monies raised are used to upgrade and replace equipment, particularly in the children’s rooms, playgrounds and office equipment. There are many fundraising opportunities available throughout the year.

BNC Playgroups

The Berwick Neighbourhood Centre facilitates and runs playgroups at the Timbarra location. One of our experienced childcare educators supports the facilitation of playgroups. Parents can attend the playgroup with their children, and they get to participate in many activities while meeting other members of the community.

BNC believes that a playgroup should be inclusive and welcoming to all families. Support and friendship are encouraged. Children have fun and can reach their full potential through play and socialization in a safe and caring environment.
