Our History
First La Porchetta Restaurant was opened in 1985. Italian born Rocky Pantaleo and Felice Nania bought a decrepit pizza place in Melbourne’s Italian center.
The news of La Porchetta’s fantastic pizza and Italian-inspired menu, as well as the atmosphere and excellent price, quickly spread, and the restaurant soon recognized as a unique spot to enjoy great food with love and a love for life.
There are restaurants in Australia in both New Zealand, La Porchetta is thriving and remains a part of the local culture. Like the kitchen, which is the heart for Italian families, the restaurants also celebrate the sense of being home. We serve delicious meals created with fresh, natural ingredients, warm service affordable prices and a warm family heart.
